Between that and the calls for some sort of divine intervention to save us from accidental plane crashes, I just lost more faith in humanity.

The newspaper this morning reported that the pilot did NOT make a distress call...so I don't know how they determined so rapidly that the crash was an accident and not an attack.

My guess would be that (as another posted alluded to upthread) authorities knew that the plane was piloted by Cory Lidle and then determined that it was more likely an accident.

Pilot may have been attempting a low-level U-turn.
