Some radio show crew did a funny prank call to a homophobic guy about a gay school coming up in his area. I am questioning the fact if the whole thing just isn't staged. I am almost certain this is the same group that did a Nascar prank phone call to a racist fan. The outcomes are almost identical. I want to believe this is real because it is funny but something makes me think it is staged. Anybody know who these guys are or what show they are from?

Most people say they're fake. There's a whole series of these on eBaum's World and the guy being called gives two different middle names in two different pranks.
Besides, nobody's stupid enough to be called by the same two people like five times and not know it's a joke.

It sounds very staged to me. The "victim's" lines just sound too forced to be off the cuff.

It doesn't sound that staged though. I searched for the Nascar prank phone call and discovered it is the same crew calling the same guy. Just can't believe this can be true. The guy sounds too intelligent to fall for it like that. Also I don't think they would allow his last name and childrens name to be broadcast without bleeping it.

It sure did to me. That callback, where he went into the "blue streak" -- I don't think anyone could do that unrehearsed. In the movie Christmas Vacation, Chevy Chase's character goes on a similar streak (less profane tho) and on the commemorative DVD they said he had to have hidden cue-cards all over the room just to make the scene work.

There is an entire set of these calls to this same guy. I think they are probably staged, but the same people call him numerous times on all kinds of different issues. He freaks out every time, no matter what the issue is.
ETA- they have done everything from selling him magazines to the gay school and the black driver in NASCAR (his rascist redneck response..."it's NASCAR not NAScoon...")

Hi, this is my first post
I vote for fake, for the same reason as Tim. Up until they called him back, it seemed possibly real. Unless he was rehearshing that speech in the time between the two calls, I doubt he'd be able to rattle it off like that.

While not in the exact same setting, I can tell you that some people do go off on unrehearsed streak such as this. When I was a kid I always liked to prank this one guy (name withheld althought I will never forget it) and ask for "Joey". Sometimes I'd call 10 times in an hour. Every time he'd pick up and every time he'd unleash a profane fury that taught me many new curse words. I stopped calling after he eventually started telling me that he had killed Joey and then describing a different way he'd done it with each call. Of course these were the days before called ID etc.
And there are definately people unbalanced enough to act this way- and stupid enough to do it over and over again.

I vote REAL. It doesn't sound rehearsed to me. Like it has been stated before, this guy has had series of different pranks. I'm sure he was prepared that it was a prank, and is just getting fed up with it.
These calls have been around for at least a year. It's nothing new. I'm sure they don't update it anymore because the guy got his number changed.

The reason that I think that these are fake...Listen to this one about the "Vibrator," At the beginning, he isn't holding his nose, during the first few words...and this man's speech sounds suspiciously to me like Mr. Berger, "Racist..."
