Got these 40 "facts" in my inbox... I can't seem to verify any of them, but it would be interesting to know whether or not some, if not all, have some truth to it.

5.) The United States does not have any employees because there is no longer a United States. No more reorganization. After over 200 years of operating under bankruptcy it’s finally over. 36.) The UN has financed the operations of the United States government for over 50 years and now owns every man, women and child in America. The UN also holds all of the Land in America in Fee Simple.
37.) The good news is we don't have to fulfil "our" fictitious obligations. You can discharge a fictitious obligation with another's fictitious obligation.
38.) The depression and World War II were a total farce. The United States and various other companies were making loans to others all over the World during the Depression. The building of Germany’s infrastructure in the 1930's including the Railroads was financed by the United States. That way those who call themselves "Kings", "Prime Ministers", and "Furor" etc could sit back and play a game of chess using real people. Think of all of the Americans, Germans etc. who gave their lives thinking they were defending their Countries, which didn't even exist, and the millions of innocent people who died for nothing. Isn't it obvious why Switzerland is never involved in these fiascos? That is where the "Bank of International Settlements" is located. Wars are manufactured to keep your eye off the ball. You have to have an enemy to keep the illusion of Government" in place.
39.) The "United States" did not declare Independence from Great Britain or King George.

Wow. I have been a connoisseur of net kook writings for years but this is one of the kookiest lists I have ever seen. I searched on Google and found it quoted verbatim on numerous kook sites (e.g., DavidIcke.net). Fortunately, I did find this site that debunks most this garbage.

Well, according to google, the court case Diversified Metal Products v. IRS et al only exists to support "Fact" #1 on the list.
It's not been cited as a precedent in any case since whenever it was ajudicated.
Interestingly, the IMF was created in 1944, beginning operations in 1947. The IRS was created, sort of, in 1862.
Oh, and Public Law 94-564? It's about Mexican debt.

Just a quick note on this supremely whacky bit of dross: The case cited is not a US Supreme Court case. "14 Georgia 438" refers to the volumes reporting precedential cases from Georgia's courts, not the Federal Courts. The fact that a 19th Century Georgia court might have gotten constitutional law wrong should not really surprise anyone.
As all the important, and silly, consitutional questions heard by the Supreme Court and raised by ordinary Americans should make clear, individuals, as well as states, have standing to bring constitutional issues before the Federal Courts. God Bless America!!!

Executive Order 12803 "allows the private sector to provide for infrastructure modernization and expansion. The order is based on the principles that an adequate and well-maintained infrastructure is critical to economic growth, and State and local governments should have greater freedom to privatize infrastructure assets."

The first cite is Pope Benedict XIV's De Synodo Dioecesana, book IX, chapter VII, number 4. I don't have that and can't find it online. It shows up in rare book collections.
From the Syllabus of Errors (the Syllabus is a list of ideas condemned by various Popes):

There was this chap on yahoo message boards who boasted he owned his kids. Sparked quite a debate, considering slavery has been outlawed for quite some time now. Also, his kids were all grown. No, you do not own your children. You care for them. Idiot, right.

I don't know about the sources this particular item came from, but a quick search of "Separation of Church and State" brings up loads of quotes from Thomas Jefferson, and wasn't Washington, etc, "Deists" (I know I misspelled that!), not necessarily Christian?

There's a great short story by Bentley Little where the US President, on his first day of taking office, is informed that the United States is still a colony of the British Empire, that British Parliment is just window dressing, and that the Queen of England is still the total ruler of Great Britian and all her supposed former colonies, including the US, Australia, and India.
