I just made a photobucket account, but I'm at work, and I only have one Jakedog pic, and it isn't his best shot.
But, here is the love of my life, the best collie in the world, in the shot that was on the cover of one of Boulder's free weeklies. For anyone who hasn't seen a smooth collie, check it out! He's Eating

Sorry to revive an old thread, but hopefully these pics are worth it.
Taken yesterday, they depict Tucker and LT opening up their Christmas presents. I haven't seen Tucker in a month, and I was shocked at how big he's gotten. He's starting to get his adult coat and adult facial features, but he still has some baby teeth... but he's already as big at 5 months as Poco was as a 9-year old adult! When he gets full-grown, he's going to be a HUGE sheltie.
I'm extra proud of LT for being a very patient, very sweet "daddy" to Tucker... LT is a hell of a perceptive, sensitive dog. You couldn't ask for a better role model for your a puppy.
Anyway, I hope these pics bring y'all some Christmas cheer...

I'm glad you did revive the thread, DesertRat, as now I can show off my two cats.
This is Pud (short for Pudd'n, a name which I don't--and won't--take credit for. She came with it when I adopted her.) She was a year old when I got her, and she's fifteen now, so she's been with me a while. Anyway, she's quite the stately lady, and I've taken to calling her "The Dowager Queen" for reasons I can't fully explain.
This little hellion is Puck. He and his two sibs were rescued from an electrical substation where they lived under a fence. Their mom was nowhere to be found. Somone from an animal rescue league took him in, and I ended up getting him at a pet adoptathon when he was just three months old. He's four years old now, and he still acts like a kitten most of the time. He likes pizza, pastry, and the occasional cell phone.

So I'm feeling a teensy bit melancholy, it being Christmas and me being alone and all ... so here's a pic of Poly , horning in on a photo shoot (whenever I'd sing at the piano, she'd stand up with forelegs on my arm and beg, "Oh, nOOOooo...." in the appropriate key - apparently she felt a CD photo shoot was equally doomed). Despite her feisty nature, 21 years caught up with her last month.

Another pic of Gypsy and Luna. Luna being the Chihuahua who was chewing on a rope bigger than she is- she actually carries that rope around. She was peacefully gnawing at the rope, Gypsy was sleeping. All was peaceful.
Then the dang human got that camera out and it beeped. Dang beeping camera.

Oh, Toad...I know exactly how you feel. This is my beloved Akita, Windy: We lost her on the 4th to a uterine infection called pyometra. This Christmas just didn't seem the same without my darling girl.
Advice to all animal lovers: If you have a female that you don't intend on breeding, have her spayed. That is the only way to prevent pyometra, and it is a horrible way for an animal to die. I wish we had taken care of this years ago so we wouldn't be going through this now.
