quote:SALEM, Wis. -- Michael Wilk was tossing back a few beers with friends when he saw God on the side of his 4-foot-long pet alligator.
Without even squinting, Wilk noticed white markings pop out against a backdrop of black scales to form the letters G-O-D.
Unfortunately the article doesn't have a picture. I found some pictures but none that show the markings. I sawit in the paper this morning and was hoping other people had (or someone can search out an online picture).
Does anyone else read it as GUS not GOD ?
I'd ask whether this made me an evil atheist, but I KNOW I'm an evil atheist so I won't bother.
Victoria-it still beats the name of Allah in aubergines-J.

I can make out G-O-D, but it looks more like G-U-N to me.

I don't think it says anywhere in the bible that the next coming of the son-of-God will be as a human. I'm just waiting for the miracles.

I think it actually says "Goa". I think the alligator wants to visit India's resort region.

Thanks Pikey Queen (You start a bad film thread AND you can locate alligator pictures - I am impressed).
I may actually have seen that one when I was searching, and completely missed the writing on it. It isn't exactly clear in the picture (but then it isn't clear on the alligator).

I have just alligator-a-chowed Random Dan in the Photo and Video Gallery - and he had a link to the picture I first saw - which I think is a bit clearer.
Yep, it DEFINITELY says GUS.

Shouldn't he have signed it Jehovah or Yahweh? The term God is a bit universal. Shouldn't He know that? Posts: 687 | From: Grand Rapids, Michigan | Registered: Jul 2005

Hmm. That made me think - if it is like an artists signature shouldn't EVERYTHING say God ? Or should we think God was particularly proud of this alligator ?
It's a nice alligator, but I'm not sure I would consider it to be the best work of a (hypothetical) creator.

My sister once got a chicken strip that looked like Jesus. To this day she's sorry she fed it to the dog. The dog, however, has led a very charmed life.
