Aw, I thought she was going to do the guy night elf dance. I love that game!!! What server are you in? I'm assuming you play. I loooooooooove that game! Since we just moved we don't have the internet yet and I only had the trial before we left and I'm sooo going through withdrawals. That game seriously should be called Warcrack. It's horrible.

Actually, I don't play myself, but I thought I'd post this as I know that people who are into it tend to be really into it.
I played Runescape for a while and spent approximately 2 solid days with no sleep, but then I started to go off it. And then, one day, there I was, mining away, when I realised that there my character was working down a virtual mine. People play games to escape from mundane lives and gruelling jobs, and there was I playing a game where I was having a mundane life and doing a gruelling (and rather boring) job.
So I quit.
Now, maybe World Of Warcraft has something about it that makes it much, much better, but I'm not a huge fan of "build up your character's stats"-type games, anyway, and you actually have to pay for WoW, so I'm not going to try it out.

Oh. It really is fun. I play for the social aspect. Leveling up so I don't die is more of an afterthought for me. I mainly go around talking to people and stuff like that. I die during quests because I'm talking when I should be defending myself. You could try the 10 day trial. It's free. If you're interested I can find the link for you. Those games really are addictive though.

I don't play WoW, but I enjoyed the video. My daughter takes tribal fusion dance (a form of bellydance) and was very impressed by the bellydancing skills of the girl in the video.
The first one is not porn, but a video set to the Avenue Q song of the same name (depending on your work and your kids it may be considered NSFW or NFBSK). The second one has WoW elves dancing to YMCA, and may be offensive to some due to use of the word "fag" in the credits.

See, I'm not so into that side of things. Even on this board, which is the one that I visit most frequently, I often stay out of the more personal fora/threads. I very rarely, for example, look in SLC.
That said, I must confess that it's kind of fun to play a female character and see how often and how persistently you get chatted up. It is a limited appeal, though.

I wouldn't mind the link, actually. I feel that I should at least give it a go.

I've never played WoW, so I looked up what this dance looks like on the game. The girl reproduced it very well!
Night Elf Dance for those of you who, like me, have never played this game.
ETA: This video is actually kind of funny too. The elfs are dancing to that Milkshake song.

The female night elf dance is actually based on a dance by a French singer named Alizee. Search on her name and you can find a lot of videos of her in concert doing the exact same dance.

Ah, yeah here's one. It might get a bit NSFW later - I did't bother watching it beyond about a quarter of the way in, and I know that site gives a NSFW warning and, apparently, there's some mildy naughty vids of her going round online. They've also dubbed another song over her singing which, having heard her sing, I have to say is something of a relief.
I must also say that I think the girl in the OP actually does it better.

trollface, if you want an opinion from someone who's played the game and decided not to continue, here I am! I played the 10-day free trial, and absolutely loved it. It's a very fun game, and very addictive, not boring or mundane at all. The mining/blacksmithing/etc. parts of it are more of an after-thought than they are in other games, but they're still very well done. But the point of the game is still the excitement of quests and combat. It's also very easy to make what you want of the game, through RP and whatnot. However, the reason I didn't continue on is this: you have to *purchase the box* (or pay full price online 50 bucks) in order to get an "official" activation code and continue on by paying-to-play. So, the game that's already on your computer is useless, and you have to pay 50 bucks just for the *activation code*. On top of that, it's like 15 bucks a month, which I could've dealt with, if you didn't have to pay 50 bucks for the game itself. Maybe I'm just cheap, I dunno. I can pay 10 bucks a month and not have to pay anything for the actual data for Ultima Online, though. I'm fairly sure there are a few other online games like this. I don't think it makes WoW greedy, either, I think it just means they can get away with it. However, I, personally, won't be playing it because I'm not paying 50 bucks for a game on top of 15 bucks a month.
Your best bet is to do what I did, play the free trial, enjoy, then forget about it.

I've seen the game for only $30 (I think) at EB. The expansion is coming out soon though and that is going to be $40. Yeah, I am super cheap too and I really don't need to spend my time playing the game so I'm still debating over whether or not I'll really get it. It's so freaking addictive though!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing is, they could get me for 15 bucks a month for the next couple of years if they just didn't expect me to buy the stupid box. I guess I'm being a little petty about it, but I've been spoiled by other subscription games that give you the game for free (although they still sell a box for those who like the manuals and goodies), and just charge a subscription fee.

I play WoW. I'm on Zul'jin, and strangely enough, I play a Night Elf female
Yes, the game is horribly addictive. I got my copy for thirty bucks and honestly, paying fifteen bucks a month for it doesn't turn an eyelash. No, I'm not rich or anything, but people usually spend that much a month on entertainment anyway, or even more, whether they go out to movies or watch tv or golf or whatever. This just happens to be my entertainment.
What cracks me up is one of the preset Night Elf female statements they can make is 'Hey, I'm dancing again...I hope all your friends are enjoying the show."

You're right, it doesn't, it's the initial thirty bucks that they would make up in the first two months of my subscription fee that ticks me off and made me not continue playing at the time. I don't play now because I'm just not interested anymore, but had they not required the purchase of a "key" at the time, I would have continued to pay-to-play.

Well, when you buy the box (which has dropped to $19.99 in some places), you get the first month of play for free, so it's not like you have to shell out more money immediately.
Honestly, I wouldn't have paid $50 for the box either - I bought it during a promotion for $25 and add to my subscription using $25 game cards for 60 days of play. I consider it worth it, since I find the quality of the game to be so high and (despite the whining you find on the forums) the quality of the game upkeep to be excellent as well.
BTW, if anyone wants a free 10-day trial, they can also PM me. I've got a few "recruit-a-friend" codes left to hand out.

I am afraid UO is $13 now. I could look for Account Creation codes though and the client is free downloadable as you said.
And like others.. I can get Free 10-day trials too, just need an email through PM. Its for US World of Warcraft Accounts. (Just usable on the US and Oceania server).

I played it for a while on one of the free servers that popped up, but I never really liked it. Too much annoying wierd details, too many idiot players. I love computer RPGs, but they just don't work well over the internet.

Oh yeah, I forgot about UO's price hike.. Point stands, though. I play UO on a free server anyways, and I haven't had to pay for the box since Age of Shadows came out.

I followed WoW for a while pre-release and after seeing it change drastically from what it was initially presented as to appease the, as I call them, Bnet kiddies (people who basically seem to think this is DiabloIII) I grew tired.. Then after some time I picked up a copy to try it.
At first, for maybe two or three months, it was very addictive, but after a while I started growing kind of tired. No matter what I did it seemed to have a "been there done that" feel (probobly cause I played alot of Everquest in the past).
I try to be social, I was alot in EQ, but in WoW, at least on the various servers I tried (even RP ones) that was essentially impossible, way too many kiddies out there.
Ultimatly I let it go, I tired a number of characters and just got tired of the grind, and the same old stuff, and the community (which, at least on many servers) sucks pretty bad.
I've tried a number of other MMO games and really they havn't stuck the way EQ used to, the all have the same MO as WoW, fun for a little while, then get tiresome.. That said it could just be my preferences that have changed, the only way to know for sure is to find one I like, but I've found that, for the most part, I'm growing less interested in videogames, though I blame that part on the lack of really original games out these days (I know there are exceptions, I'm speaking as a whole) and the lack of time to really get into some of them.
Sorry, didn't mean for this to turn into a tirade on video games

I play runscape as well, and the only thing turning me off from continuing it (and thusly playing WOW or any other type game) are the geek idiots who see a newb and **just have GOT to kill, kill, kill**.
I Was looking for my next quest in RuneScape-took a left turn on a farm and had some idiot chase me into town just for the sole purpose of trying to kill me. I had another, when I was learning how to make fire, who kept coming to me and the other players learning, and just started thwacking us, and continued to thwack us over and over (we fought back and killed him, but that isn't the point).
If your quest isn't about killing something or a battle of some kind, it isn't nice to go just killing random people who enter the game to play, randomly. It kind of ruins the game.

Thanks for the link, Mommytutu. I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon.
Lady Moon Shadows, aren't there only certain places that you can get killed by other players in Runescape? What I do (or did when I still played) was to stay out of those areas unless I was specifically going to look for a fight with someone real, or to scavenge treasure from someone killed by others. What I'd do is strip my character completely and put everything in the bank. Then go into the zone where you can fight and just hang around near the edge.

If you're on a PvE server in WoW (as opposed to a PvP server), then this really isn't such a big deal. The starting areas are insulated so that you can level up quite a while without even seeing a member of the opposing faction. It wasn't until I was well into the 30s levelwise that I started encountering Horde players trying to gank me, and even then most weren't too far above my own level. It may just be because I play on somewhat of a backwater server, but I really don't see much gankage at all. Then again, I'm also guilded, so the fear of being put on a "kill on sight" list might also be a factor

Troll, this occured in the main city (right after the training level) and I walked just outside of the city to a farm, back of the farm near a stream and was slaughtering the cows for meat, hide, when I got blindsided by this idiot who literally followed me into town--just ganking (cool word) away at me. I then went back after he stopped and I watched from a distance, he was doing this to all players who came near that area.
He wasn't a computer player either (like thief or rogue)but an actual human generated player..asshole is what he was.
