Oh, and I recieved what looks like a very decent recipe for raisin cookies.

Add oats and raisins; mix well. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered. Yield: About 4 Dozen

Ooh, I got a recipe that looks quite nice, will have to look up the American to English conversions though and find out what cool whip is.
=========================================== 1 c. walnuts, chopped fine 1 stick melted butter or oleo 1 c. flour 1 c. powdered sugar 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature 1 c. Cool Whip 2 small packages instant chocolate pudding 2½ c. milk 1 chocolate bar, grated
Mix walnuts, butter and flour. Press into 9-by-13-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes; let cool.
Mix powdered sugar with softened cream cheese; add Cool Whip, mix and spread over the crust.
Mix pudding and milk and spread on top of cream cheese layer; let sit in refrigerator until firm. Cover with additional Cool Whip. Sprinkle grated chocolate on top.
(Note: Substitute lemon or other flavors of pudding for chocolate. If you do that, use chopped walnuts to sprinkle on top instead of the grated chocolate bar.) ==============================================

Yes, I added the stew recipe. I don't usually use recipes when I cook, so the amounts are only estimates, but it should be edible!
I agree, too addictive!

My MIL makes this recipe every time we come over. She calls it "Chocolate Delight." Her family adores it, but in my dessert loving opinion, it's not the best. The crust is often bitter and chewy, the pudding flops all over or runs, and she uses icky off-brand Cool Whip (whipped cream) which makes the whole thing taste like chemicals. But, it does have great potential as a dessert. If you were to make a crust out of, say, graham crackers or crushed oreo cookies, use homemade pudding (or at least make your instant pudding nice and stiff), and nice whipped cream, it could be lovely. I've also thought it could be nice to add a layer of butterscotch pudding and then drizzle some carmel over the top. (Just my $.02, in case you want to make it.)

I am vegetarian so the stew is not for me, but I was very excited to find a snopester message. (And it was one of the best passed on messages I have seen - several people have seen it now).
It is just a shame that I am now seeing a number of messages of the "This is lame" and "borring(sic)" variety. If you think that and you are still using the site - WHY ?
