Regarding the hygiene issue - it's not just the vagina that's coming into contact with the seat, it's the ass. While the vagina may be clean, the digestive system does harbor bacteria that can be hazardous to others - and that's where the hygiene issue lies, IMO.

But from a hygene standpoint, is there going to be a particular difference between the bacteria put onto a seat from someone wearing no underwear and someone wearing a thong? Does a half centimetre of fabric in the asscrack absorb a significant amount of bacteria?

Isn't it considered proper etiquette at nudist colonies/resorts to carry and use a towel when sitting down? So that any bodily discharge or whatever (from whichever orifice) wouldn't come into contact with a seat that would then be contacted by another person? [I haven't visited a nudist location myself, and my friends who have aren't where I can ask them today, so I may be mis-remembering what they've told me. If so, I appologize.]
Anyway, so if it's a good idea, and a polite idea, at a nudist colony, then I would think it would be an even better idea when out in pubic! Hygenic or not, I would rather not sit in some else's discharge(s). Or at least be blisfully ignorant of where the damp patch on the seat came from... then I could pretend it's from a spilled coffee or a drooling toddler, not Brittney's hoo-ha.

Anyway, lol. I haven't been to any nudist facilities, but I do know at the BDSM clubs I have been to, towels are usually provided for this very purpose. Anyone going about unclad is required to cover the seating surface as part of the rules of the establishment.

And all I was worrying about were green onions.
