Oh, and are his kneecaps hidden under muscle, or what has happened to them?

A ha! It didn't click until just now. This is probably a caricature of Lance Armstrong to accompany an article about his suspected steroid abuse. Can anyone pin down a magazine that might do that? Possibly French?

You can tell from the edges of the body against the backgroud that it was done with a Photoshop-style program.

It is a very, very GOOD alteration, but it is altered nonetheless.

Does anyone know if it's even possible for veins to get that big? They look artsy to me too, in fact caricature was the perfect word for them IMO.

COuldn't find that photo of Lance either. Looks like perhaps he's accepting a medal or something?

I'd say this photo has definately been modified. If you look closely at the top left hand corner and down the left side in the dark areas, there are parts that are smooth, not grainy-compressed like the rest of the dark background (typical for moderate-to-heavily jpg compressed images). This is easier to see on brighter screens.

There are also strange shadow/echos in the dark areas around the man's left shoulder and both hands that don't seem consistant with the rest of the background, and his head doesn't seem to meet his body quite right. And yes, there's something very odd looking about his package. [Big Grin]

First thought here was "ick"....but after studying it some, I kinda came to this conclusion: For a short while I was into drawing people, and it SEEMS that if the 'muscles' on the sides of his ribs and the ones on the under side of his arms were not there that his arms would hang way to long to be proportionatelly correct. My amature artist opinion would have to say that it's fake.

I agree. I am currently going though over 30,000 pictures on Google to see if I can find him in that pose (looking down). At the end of races he generally takes his helmet off and is looking down but so far the majority of those pics he has sunglasses either on his eyes or on the top of his head. So I am still looking. I'll get back on this [Smile]

That last pic posted is of Greg Valentino, he got big by injecting an oil base Synthol in his biceps and triceps, he had to have surgery on one arm due to the muscle tearing out of the arm...

As for the picture in the topic, its very very very fake... u cannot get that big, u would have to have the best genetics imaginable, a s*** load of juice, and some HGH,and still I dont see u getting that big... and for the comment about his package not gonna be that big because hes a body builder, thats concept is bent out of shape, my best takes roids like crazy and hes only experience minor shrinkage, u cant even tell theres a difference and hes been taking heavy juice for 2 years now...

OK, I found two things: this picture in a photoshop contest and an even grosser bodybuilder picture.

First. This picture was a (fairly bad, in my opinion) entry into a Photoshop contest on Freaking News, which seems to be related to Worth1000. Here's the link. It's the last entry on the fifth page.

Secondly, here's the gross bodybuilding picture. The page is in German, and I had another page with this in English but my son shut the computer off. Anyway, it's Markus Ruhl and the pic is supposedly real. Here.

I did a couple Google searches and a Worth1000 search on bodybuilding, but didn't find anything exactly like that. There's lots and lots of similar poses, though. Also ran across lots of gay porn related to bodybuilding.

My eyes are starting to blur from looking at oily muscle men.

Hi,

Freaking News somehow has only really bad pics, is that possible? Then again, the whole page seems fishy to me. Apparently you have to join either a Republican or an Independent group, and have a look at the political discussion board...

Still, that one has a different head and is way worse than the pic from the OP.

As for Markus Rühl, the pic cannot be legit. He's bad, but not that bad, as his own homepage shows:

http://www.markus-ruehl.de/galerie.html

So that one has gotta be a photoshopped one as well. Plus, the URL is of "lachstdu", which could be translated as "have a laugh" in younger people's German, so it's intended to be humorous.

Ulko "more stereo than steroid" maalainen

I wish I could remember the URL to the page in English. It was on some bodybuilding site, and someone made the comment that it seemed like someone had stuck their head through one of those painted walls where it was supposed to make you look like a bodybuilder. I find that very appropriate to the pic...

Aha!

Found it!

Apparently it's Markus Ruhl, but it's a photoshopped pic. And I still think that one's more disgusting than the OP, though it's a close call.

Like I said before it was a very obvious fake. YOU would have to have the best genetics ever to go with the steroids to do that. The closest thing would be a steroyl oil base like Valintion uses which just puts oil in your muscles and causes them to expend and look bigger. As in Valintions case you can only go so big with it till your muscles tear, in his case the bicep.

After looking at the pages from the links above from Markus Rühl, I am even more convinced that the thing is either drawn or shopped.

There is NO symmetry in his muscles. Whether you think the build on Markus Rühl is attractive or not, he is symmetrical... symmetrical to a fault. The joker on the OP is misshapen and ANTI-symmetrical.

Fake.

I'm watching a show on TLC right now about Greg Valentino..."The Man Who's Arms Exploded" He was reported to have the world's largest biceps and is/was in the Guiness Book. The man is only 5'5" tall...and he looked/looks horrible. The first pic shown on this thread is gross as well..but obviously "fixed". I can't remember who posted Valentino's pic here...but that pic wasn't nearly as detailed as what TLC is showing... Talk about looking deformed... [Eek!]
