5 simple questions with only yes/no answers (for all you shades of grey people - or is it shades of gray - I just don't know anymore with all this political correctness)
But the beauty of it, is you will be able to find out if you are a "Traditional Warrior" or a "Secular Progressive" and even though I've watched a few of his shows, I still have no real idea what the definition of either is.
I am:
Based on the answers you gave... You lean heavily towards being an S-P.

Sounds like a good thing to me. But I really just threw a dart for a couple of the answers because neither Yes nor No expressed my true feelings.

I am an SP. Not leaning towards, but am. Sniff-sniff. I feel a bit proud.
Those questions were quite biased towards O'Reilly's POV. I mean really.

I did hold my nose and vote "no" on the one about the USA being harmful to the world, even though I knew that meant I would be only a "strong leaner" rather than an SP. It's not the USA that mucked up Iraq, it's the illegitimately elected US government and their enablers in the media.

All "yes" gets an "S-P." All "no" gets a "traditional warrior."

Lean toward SP for me (mainly because of the US thing).
I think questions 3 and 4 definilty needed that "maybe" answer. I think that suspected terrorists need either be treated like enemy combatants, and thus be protected under the geneva convention, or treated as civilians, and thus be eligable for all normal rights that I would get if I were suspected of some crime. Its this middle ground "definition" that affords zero rights that I have a problem with.
As for is America bad, both yes and no (as I imagine is true for every country that plays an international role). We do alot of good, and we've cause alot of problems. I don't think we are unique by any stretch, but its still not a question that can be answered "yes" or "no".
Still, whatever side puts me against OReilly is fine by me.

I lean toward SP. I answered no on the US thing, partly for the reason Dave gave, but also because it's just way too broad a statement. Of course, so were all the rest.

I was in the middle, but not for lack of commitment. I'm committed to libertarian and secularist ideals; the test is simply flawed.

So...let me get this straight: According to O'Reilly, there are exactly two types of people in the world. There are "Traditional Warriors" and "Secular Progressives". So, you either seek progress for the world or you wage war because of tradition?
If thems my choices, I'll stand on the side of progress.

(duh o'reilly, i actually think for myself.)
i do think america is a threat to the rest of the world.
i don't think parents have a right to know if their daughter has an abortion.
and i think gays should be allowed to get married, straight people do more damage to the 'saintity of marriage' anyway (example britney spears and her 55 hour marriage)

So, I've been outed. Admitting that, I dislike O'Reilly and most of the conservative punditry because of their spurious arguments and uncharitable debating tactics.

The questions are just silly. 1) Richer people should be taxed at a higher rate than poorer people. Does anyone disagree with this? Even the strongest flat tax advocates allow some dispensation for poorer people. 2) I believe that homosexuals should be afforded the right to something that is proportinate to marriage even if it isn't marriage itself. What a clever question, phrased in such a way that moderates who advocate civil partnerships should vote No, technically. I voted Yes. 3) Well duh. 4) Dealt with by Ramblin Dave. 5) Absolute laws are usually a bad idea whatever the reason.

I like, Christie, Lainie and Ramblin' Dave only lean toward being a Secular Progressive. Which is pretty interesting, given that the "secular" implies no religious leanings, but there were no questions addressing religion on the quiz.
Unless we are now defining a person's spirituality or lack thereof based solely on their opinion on abortion and gay marriage?
Which reminds me of the cool bumper sticker I saw this morning "I'm pro-choice. And I pray."

You'd be surprised at how many Americans do. I've been accused of "hating the rich" many times because I support progressive taxation. But then, the people who have made that accusation also tend to be Bill O'Reilly fans. Go figure.

And not only that, but even a flat rate tax would still lead to income redistribution. Someone with $270,000 of taxable income will be paying more than someone with $10,000 of taxable income, yet the richer person doesn't receive 27 times more service for their contribution. Sam Seaborn dealt with it nicely in the West Wing. The police don't come to my house 27 times faster and the water doesn't come out of my faucet 27 times hotter. Or something to that effect. There's a reason I study Maths and not English.
At least this test reminded me why I find O'Reilly entertaining. Isn't the internet wonderful? Allows you to watch kooky talking heads from all over the world. They need to say something really insane to get on the news over here, like Pat "Don't expect God's protection residents of Dover, PA" Robertson. If it wasn't so far out of I-95 I would've given the residents of Dover a hug.
