Assuming there are any other Jewel fans besides me left, are any of her newest CDs any good? I liked Good Day and Again and Again when I heard them on VH1. The thing is, I haven't bought a Jewel CD since This Way, which I was somewhat disappointed with. So some of the CDs I'm talking about might not be so "new", I don't really know how many she's put out since then. If there are any other Jewel fans left, are her CDs after This Way worth buying? I thought Pieces of You and Spirit were near perfect, with only a couple of bad songs between the two of them, I just don't want to buy another Jewel CD if it's not up to that quality I came to expect from her with those first two CDs.

I'm very definitely a Jewel fan, so you're not alone. Like you, I really loved Pieces of You & Spirit. I didn't think This Way was really that bad.

0304 is a bit different sound for her but after I got used to the change, I really ended up liking it.

Goodbye Alice in Wonderland is more like her older stuff & I liked that as well.

For me, I find that I usually have to listen to one of her CDs a couple of times before I really like the songs. Now her poetry on the other hand... *shudder*

Wow, Midgard...looks like we're the only two fans left!

Or the only two that'll admit it... [Wink]

I like Jewel, I loved her first CD didn't like the second. After seeing a video ( firetruck, waterhose and her in some skimpy outfit ( Jewel what happened there?) gettting sprayed I think) I kinda fell out of liking her, though her new single sounds good.

Why do singers change there style, her first CD was great because it raw, there were some emotions in it, after that one it seem to me that she was changing to conform to the standard.

Thanks guys and gals. 0304 is the one with America and other such (not-so-much) gems on it, right? I liked those singles a teeny-tiny bit, but they were also a bit too poppy for my tastes. I'm definitely digging Goodbye Alice in Wonderland though. I love both the song and video for Good Day. Much more classic Jewel.

So those are the only two new CD's from her then? I thought there was one in-between, but that's good, less money for me to spend at the used CD store. [Razz]
