My husband recently came across the trailer for a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. I googled and coudn't come up with anything other than fanboy forums. Have you guys heard anything else about this?
From that that little bit of trailer, I think I like the new look. My 4-year old loooovees the Turtles, so I hope it's good and not something I'm going to regret sitting through.

Yes, this was announced a while ago; I don't think studios do trailers for movies that aren't actually being made, nor does Apple Trailers put them up if they aren't legit.
ETA: Wikipedia also has a page with more detail about the plot, but for reasons I can't figure out the board simply will not accept the link no matter what I do. Go to Wikipedia and search for TMNT and you'll find it.

I hate the look of this movie based on the trailer. The squished faces annoyed me, and I'm very confused by them jumping around like frogs. I'll give the movie a chance, but not until it's on DVD.

To get around that, you can use www.tinyurl.com to link to the wiki article. For example:

I knew the special characters and UBB code part. However, HTML also didn't work nor did posting the URL on its own, which puzzled me. I've never had a URL rejected like that before when using HTML.

Me too! The animation style seems to closely mimic the art style of the original comic book and, if the teaser is any indication, it appears to be suitably dark. Hopefully (and I am hopeful despite the bit of comic relief at the end of the trailer), this movie will shirk the dorky "surfer dude tude" that the 'Turtles have been saddled with for the last 20 freakin' years. The original live action movie took great steps in that direction and is still one of my favorite incarnations of the 'Turtles beyond the comic, but the sequels immediately went right back to being dorky.
Contrary to popular belief, when the 'Turtles first came out they were anything but kids stuff. It was a humorous but very dark and dare I say it mature comic book. Splinter trained them to kill -- yes KILL -- the Shredder for having killed his master.
So ... I'm a little curious about this movie, but I am also quite cynical.

I think it looks really good, with the original looks and all. I hate the hollywood "if it's green it can jump far!" attitude though, but i'm glad it has some nice action.
This image scares me though, PLEASE dont make him the comic relief. He looks like an idiot, so i'm hoping they dont make him useless.

Can't view that image. Who is it? Splinter? Shredder? So long as those two aren't used for comic relief everything else seems fair game.
ETA - Just looked at the text of the URL and looked at IMDB for the image. Why wouldn't Michaelangelo be comic relief? Perhaps he wasn't in the graphic novels, but he's been the comic relief in just about every other incarnation. Frankly, I would be disappointed if Mikey wasn't the comic relief.
ETA2 - Plus making him the comic relief woudn't make him useless. He was responsible for a fair bit of comedy in the original two movies, but was still useful in the end.
