Claim: Charles II of Spain lies dying on his bed. Various clergy, hoping to revive him, bring in the exhumed body of St. Francis of Assisi and lay it in the bed next to him. (It doesn't work.)
I don't see how it could be possible. Francis of Assisi would have been dead for almost 500 years. There wouldn't have been much of a body left, perhaps some bones.
Anyone want to comment on this obscure story? Has there been something changed in the telling? For example, perhaps it was another St. Francis?
