Mine's normal - I won't be out of here for another 5 or six hours but my weekend is bolstered by the fact I have monday off. We have to move offices on monday for a month while they sort the piping out in our wing so I thought "sod that" and booked some leave

Went out for dinner, but came home early because i have brownies at 9am. The rest of my group were going to party on at Oktoberfest. My day was long and involved being told at 12pm that i had to go to the next town(about 120kms away) and back that afternoon. We didn't get to leave til one and still made it back before 5.

My weekend? Tomorrow morning I have a field trip-- my history class is going to Fort Meigs. Then in the afternoon I'm going to a Halloween show my brother's drama troupe is doing. I think I'll carve my jack-o-lantern this weekend too. But other than that, not much going on.

Oh, rub it in whydontcha- my day hasn't even started yet!
I've been trying to get over some diabolical, genetically engineered cold, so I was hoping to spend my entire weekend with bed. However, it's my week to do the laundry, the long-division of the finances in my fractured household needs to be detailed, and horror of horrors, I have to brave last-minute costume shopping at Target and hope against hope I can find one of Stephanie from LazyTown.
Also, my customary Monday off has been tentatively switched with Tuesday, so I can experience the wonder that is trick-or-effing-treating in Brooklyn. Where I will get chastising looks from the yuppie moms for allowing my child to carry a violent light saber.
On the bright side, my mom's birthday is today and I have to figure out what to get her. I have til Sunday, she's coming out for brunch. Otherwise, is anyone else freezing to death? I'm hoping to nap and spend lots of time under blankets.

I'd say that thinking of children would make it more obscene.

They are playing here, ON MY BIRTHDAY, and no one will go with me. It sucks to be the only BNL fan in my group of friends. I haven't seen them in concert since like 1999 so I would really like to see them. My former roommate did drag me to a see the Red Sox play the Rangers a couple of years ago and it ended up being a double-header and it was cold. She owes me. I may have someone to go with me after all.

In theory I have one more hour to go, then I have next week off - WOO HOO! In practice I'm probably going to be working late to make sure I have got everything done which needed to be done before I go on leave, and I will still worry for the next two days that I've forgotten something.
This will be only my second week off this year, so again I am going to lose about 3 weeks holiday in total because I can't find time to take it. Must go in for the odd long weekend I think - and make sure I get my holidays sorted next year.

You can do that? I had five beers at my nephew's second birthday party. Nothing. No buzz at all. I was too busy being a "good role model" for the kid.
I absolutely adore that kid.

This thread's a plot. We're all secretly trying to get you to grow out your hair because we want to know what you'd look like as a rocker. And if we point out how lonely your haircut will be, you won't do it.
(Okay, so you do better!)

I’ve got to hit the ground running this weekend. Saturday afternoon, I’m scoring a couple of baseball games. Early Saturday evening, there’s football to watch (UT v Texas Tech and Baylor v A&M). Sunday evening, Mo is having her annual pumpkin carving party. In between, I need to finish laundry, make cranberry bread, finish the drawer fronts in the living room, make 2 lbs of meatballs, and a million other little nasty tasks. And of course there has to be time to sit around talking about absolute nonsense with my friends over a beer or two. That’s mandatory. Why else *have* a weekend?

I'll probably do the same as I always do. Play Civ for a few hours in the evening then go on the hunt for Indie music while surfing snopes and the ULMB chatroom.

I concur: A 5 beer/2.5 shot limit should be enacted around a two-year-old. Especially for the two-year-old. Someone's gotta drive.
But my rule is: If they can't talk yet, then they can't say, "Maybe you've had enough?"

Don't ever suggest the possibility of a plot around my kind!

Well just waiting for an experiment to finish, then I'm heading off. In fact, its pretty much done now, but a few more minutes won't hurt it while I snopes.
Oddly enough I was going to be also Rocky Horroring this weekend, but instead have learnt an important message. Don't trust a drunk person when they promise you their spare ticket. Today I found that I could actually have got another ticket for the Friday rather than the Saturday performance, but not only was I lacking in costume but had resigned myself to a quiet night in. I hate having to run around sorting stuff out last minute, and anything more complicated than a trip to the pub I usually prefer to know in advance. I like to be in the right frame of mind.
So tonight I shall probably be watching QI, playing a bit of Diablo II (Old game I know) and possibly getting templates designed for websites for the lab and the dive club.
I shall however probably be going to a halloween party on Saturday, although again I'm lacking in costume. I'm tempted to make use of a bit of a malapropism I made earlier in the year and go as Edward Siever hands.
I think I have managed to avoid having to come into the lab this weekend, although I may want to set some bacterial cultures growing on Sunday so I can work with them Monday morning.

Well lets see I fly out to Nashville tonight ( at least I better, becauseif it is delayed due to weather I might kill someone)
I get to spend the weekend with my sweetie. Doing whatever it is he planned for us to do, which I know one of those things happens to be going to an outlet mall.
So im going to have a great weekend. Only cause I get to spend it with my honey.

Rehearsal tonight for a gig tomorrow night. We're actually playing on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood (woo-woo!). Should be lots of fun, the band has never sounded better and rehearsals all this week have gone very smoothly.
Then D&D Sunday evening. I also have to squeeze in a trip to the grocery store, finish folding last night's laundry, and take the dog for several walks with a bum knee (mine, not hers).
Then, Tuesday is the drop-dead date for my deadbeat roommate. He's been told, and has responded to my message, that he needs to have his stuff out of the room by the 31st, or I'll assume he doesn't want it any more. He doesn't actually know this yet, but I'm planning to put it in a rented storage area for another month, and then if he hasn't made other arrangements by Nov. 30th, I'll sell or pawn anything I can get money for (anybody want one of those big-screen TVs?) and toss or donate the rest.

At noon today I participated in a Gay? Fine by Me rally on campus. This afternoon I need to do advance work for November performances.
Tonight is trick-or-treating in Allentown (on the 27th! it's not right!) so I will put on my red cape and my crown and hand out candy. Tradition says that kids don't ring doorbells; you have to sit on your porch or stoop. Brrrr. The cape is wool.
Then it's going to rain like a sumbitch all day tomorrow, so I'm going to clean up my basement. Or nap on the couch. I don't know yet. The suspense is terrible.

I vote for the nap. Especially if you have a cat who'll join you.
A friend is coming for a visit on her way to Orlando (she flies out of Columbus). That will be fun. DD's court hearing was today and the outcome was good, so I'll be celebrating. DD will be humbly counting her blessings, but I get to celebrate, 'cause I didn't do anything wrong.
Oh, and there's a Civil War encampment near my house this weekend. I might go check that out.

Well, I have a thrilling weekend planned. The quiltlet and I will move up to Mom's for the weekend, which we do every weekend now. I get to tell the quiltlet that the gymnastics class she's so excited about has been cancelled because nobody got any insurance for it.
I'm working on Saturday (my regular day) and it's predicted to rain like a sumbitch here, too. I need to finish a baby quilt for granddaughter number 4. I have church Sunday morning and grocery shopping on Monday, but otherwise plan to veg out in front of HGTV. Who said something about needing a life?

Our local theatre troupe is performing "It's a Scream" this weekend. I get to play the part of an aging horror film star. Lots over over the top fun stuff. (It's good to be the director.) We've been reheasing almost every night for the last seven weeks. For the last two weeks it has been every night as well as the basic building of sets and so forth.
We do two shows and then it's over. Both shows are sold out but the space we have to perform in is rented out for next week. This show is a benefit for the library which is trying to raise funds to renovate an old building. This will give them about double the space they have now.
Casting call for our Christmas production is next Wednesday.

My birthday is Tuesday, but I don't know if I'll get to celebrate this weekend because I've got to study for an exam that's also on Tuesday.
My boyfriend is volunteering at a local bat conservatory that's having a bat festival this weekend (in honor of Halloween). They're opening it to the public for guest lectures and a tour of the facility. I didn't sign up to volunteer but I'm attending as a guest because I'm curious about the place. I hope I can get some good photos. I doubt they'll let the public hold the bats, but I got to do that earlier this year in Costa Rica.

I'm doing homework, studying for a mid-term, and babying my cat, who went in to get spayed and micro-chipped today. I don't have to worry about preparing for trick-or-treaters, since I live in a rural(ish) area, but I may try to put something together for Tuesday's party at work. Oh yeah, and wash some clothes and some dishes. Don't I know how to have fun? Woo-hoo.
(IND, at least a haircut gets you out of the house!)

I do know a cat who loves a good nap on the couch, but he is a big fat scaredy-cat sissy-boy who is frightened by the sound of heavy rain, so he'll probably be hiding in the suitcase in the back of the closet.
