On J.K. Rowling's official website, http://www.jkrowling.com

You have to do a bit of exploring and game playing and clicking to find it out. [Big Grin]

Apologies if this was already posted about, but I looked and didn't see any topics about it.

I have to say it is kind of a weird title. It doesn't seem... grammatically sound? But then I thought the same thing with "Half Blood Prince" until they changed it to: "Half-Blood Prince".

Yeah, the name doesn't exactly flow. I wonder how bad the other one she was considering was, if this was the one she chose.

Seems like a normal Potter title to me.

I hear that in this book, the magic community uses their powers to stop all war, feed the hungry, house the homeless, and mend the environment. But then they ultimately decide not to, because, ya’ know, those kids are a bunch o’ mudbloods.

Mugglenet has step by step instructions and a video showing them in action. I tried them and it didn't work at the same point that Sylvanz says it isn't working. The chime/key won't drag.

Have you tried just clicking the key and then moving the cursor, rather than doing the click-drag motion? I've noticed some elements on her website have to be clicked and dragged without releasing the mouse button, but some have to be clicked, released, and then will move with the cursor.

Does the title need spoiler space? I'll be vague, just in case.

So, are the D------ ------s anywhere near Godric's Hollow?

For those having problems getting the key to move: did you click on the accessibility-enabled website in the center of the jkrowling.com page, or on the British flag (or possibly elsewhere)? I had the same problem with the accessibility-enabled website. I read some of the comments at the-leaky-cauldron.org, and tried clicking on the British flag to get the website up, and finally got the key to work. I don't know if the links in the other flags have that problem (with the key) or not.

Ms Congeniality, my monitor has problems, and I also couldn't find the cobwebs until I used PSP to lighten the image. There's a cobweb directly above the light switch.

Be sure to check out the end of book 5 again.

Spam & Cookies-mmm, it is an intriguing theory, but do note the "o" versus "a." Which isn't to say that it couldn't be true, but it seems somewhat less likely. I'm interested by the fact that JKR seems to have nouned a verb (as opposed to verbing a noun).

More Snape in drag. Seriously, man, that just improves any book. Like, A Tale of Two Cities? TEN TIMES BETTER if Madame Defarge is really Snape in drag with a bad knitting habit.

Ahh ... finally got it all to work. I had eventually gotten past the key, but then it would never actually load the game of hangman.

The grammar does seem a bit odd. The second word means, basically, to bless or make sacred. Hmm...

I think it's just a slightly archaic use of the word "hallow". Like Halloween is "All Hallows Eve." Hallow = Saint or Holy Person. So it's a legitimate noun.

ETA: Reposted from Lulu's thread, which got Chowed: "Speculation: 'Deathly Hallows' are some kind of venerable magical guys in robes who act as gatekeepers to death or something, and they play a role in bringing Dumbledore back."

I did see the difference in spelling, but I still get the feeling that this is a place name. I think it may be the location of the final horcrux.

I figured that it had to refer to the name of a place too, otherwise the wording doesn't make much sense.

My friend also made the guess about where Sirius went, which I thought was brilliant on her part, I didn't think of it myself.

I must get to rereading books five and six. I know 1-4 like the back of my hand, but I've only managed to read five twice, and six once!
