I searched the Glurge Gallery, Inboxer Rebellion, Glurge Archive, and Inboxer Rebellion Archive forums and didn't find this one. However, chow me if you've seen this before.
One day someone's mother died. And on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of her bedroom, the daughter was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes There isn't any more.
No more hugs, no more lucky moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, No more "just one minute."

Then I sent It to the people ! I Think of in the same way!

I just find it kinda annoying that so many people think I'm incapable of appreciating life until I'm reminded via some crappy email poetry. I mean, if I'm keeping these people close because I cherish them, I don't need it, and if I'm actually only keeping Gramma around because that way I have a better shot at the insurance money, I'm not likely to pay attention to it.
So...the only purpose of stuff like this is to aggravate people, 'specially people who're already swamped at work but have to check their emails anyhow because it might be something important, not that I am hopelessly bitter or anything.

I love (or hate, one of the two) how the people who send these to me are the ones who never contact me for anything else. Apparently I'm only worth "keeping" so they can avoid bad luck by sending ME this crap instead of their real friends who would throw them through the wall if they did try such a thing.

hey, good to know I'm not the only one! When trying to get a 'friend' to stop spamming me, I've said a couple of times "I'd really like to hear from you, how you and the critters are doing." It seems to be slowly taking.

I'll third that! I have a friend living here in France whom I haven't seen since 1999. Since I moved here in August, I've gotten a number of e-mails like this one from her and her husband (though not this particular one), but when it comes to visits or meeting up for coffee in Paris or even an e-mail saying how they've been doing...nothing! The irony hadn't even occurred to me until just now, to tell you the truth!
