Girl: Hey
Boy: What?
Girl: I really like you. And I... I think I'm falling in love with you.
Boy: Ok...
Girl: What do you mean "ok"?
Boy: I don't like you like that...
Girl: Why not?
Boy: I can't tell you... maybe another time...
From then on, the girl kept asking the boy "Why not?" whenever she saw him, and he kept answering the same answer of "I'll tell you later." Finally the girl got fed up.
Girl: I'm tired of this! Tell me why you don't like me!
Boy: Do you really wanna know why?
Girl: Yes!
Boy: It's because you're uglier than ANYTHING! What's the point of going out with someone when they're not pretty?!
Girl: But... I...
Boy: Just shut up and leave me alone!
The boy leaves and the girl is sitting there alone, crying her heart out. Then her cell phone rings.
Girl: Hello?
Mom: Sweetheart? I want you to go home, ok? I'll be home from work in a few hours.
Girl: Alright Mom.
Mom: I love you.
Girl: I love you too, Mom.
Mom: Bye Bye.
Girl: Bye
The girl heads home and once she got there, she went in the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror.
Girl: I'm not pretty enough...
She set to work, knowing fully well what she was going to do. 2 hours later, her Mom came home and heard the bath water running. She went upstairs to find the hallway flooded so she knocked on the door.
Mom: Honey? Are you alright?
She opened the door and was shocked at the site. The bath was overflowing onto the floor, and the water was tinted red. She walked over to see what was inside and screamed. There, her little girl was lying with cuts all over her face and wrists. Her Mom backed away and was going to run to call the police when something caught her eye. On the mirror, am I pretty enough now?
No one deserves to be told that by someone they love. If you find it messed up then forward this to everyone you know.
A person's appearance doesn't count. What counts is their heart inside of them and their personality. No one wants to be told they're not good enough...

Suicidal, obsessive girl with no self-esteem. Gotta love that personality.

Maybe the boy just got tired of the girl constantly bothering him.

So this girl isn't just the ugliest person in the world, which would be bad enough, she's the ugliest THING in the world? She must be a monster.

There are a couple of changes... the line "It's because you're not pretty!" has changed to "It's because you're uglier than ANYTHING!" and the fact that the note was written on paper stuck to the mirror has been taken out (to make it sound more like blood on the mirror?).
I guess the original version made the boy sound too tactful or something.

Maybe the boy thought telling her she was ugly was better than pointing out: "I don't like you because you have no self esteem and are a tad on the impulsive side. Oh, and because you are effing insane."

Well, if she died she'd technically be doing the world a favor, Darwin Award style. I mean, most people who commit suicide eithe rhave a good reason or have seratonin issues.

Wow! I couldn't disagree with you more!
This is pretty silly glurge, but broad sweeping generalizations about the stupidity of suicides are not cool.
In fact - if, as you say, they have serotonin concerns, then that is a valid medical condition. Why is someone doing the world a favor by dying because they have an illness? Depression is an illness, you know. And a very serious one.
Perhaps you are being hyperbolic because this is the Glurge section, and people tend to do that here. I indulge myself. But if you were going for ironic humour, Ink Rose, you have failed miserably.

That's what I think too. The boy in the original actually came across somewhat sympathetically. This girl tells him she loves him. He says he doesn't return her feelings but won't say why, likely because he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. So for several weeks she follows him around, constantly asking him why he doesn't love her. I could see him saying it's because she's not pretty as snapping.

I know lots of people who are depressed/or have gotten over it with the help of medications. Depression is an illness, they wouldn't wish to be that way if they could help it.
The girl in this glurge comes across less of a victim of a terrible illness and more of a petty idiot.

You're right. And we can't have a tactful antagonist* now, can we? /sarcasm.
What is it with taking these things and making them worse? I mean, with some glurges you just don't think it's possible and then WHAM, they hit you with the latest update. *shakes head*
*Is that right? Is he the antagonist? Protagonist? I get so sometimes.

I think he's a man with sense. No really. Even if he was mean at least he's being ruled by his genes.
Naw... I think he'd technically be the antagonist cause we're led to assume that the protagonist is the annoying stalkerish girl.
Yeah cause in glurge land the antagonist can never be, y'know, like a REAL human being it has to be like some satan-spawn evil person from heck cause then you might you know, emphasize with him. You mark my works, eventually it'll get to the point where the poor boy enters the story has some demon spawn kid who kills puppies for fun.
Better yet, I vote some clever Snopester write a parody glurge of this.

Btw, I gets bouts of depression and I knew what Ink Rose meant. Sertonin problems or serious non-depression causes like terminal illness would make her feel bad for the victim. But killing oneself out of pique and a feeling of self pity that should pass over of its own accord in days, is stupid and annoying.

Thanks for translating. Sorry if I came off as a bit of a jerk. It's just that I've watched family members sturggle with depression and the glurge made me wanted to wring the girl's neck myself. It just felt like a big slap in the face to people who struggle with depression.

If they weren't even dating to begin with (i.e., this was her way of asking him out), it gets even creepier.
And with the genders reversed, no one would consider this a good MySpace Glurge...it would just be an example of a scary-stalker-dude. But because she's a girl, it gets spun into a prettiness-glurge.

I just got one on my myspace about a boy and girl breaking up that was similar but not exact. I didn't repost it, just in case you were wondering.

Yeah, I see that overly clingy girl as a parallel to this clingy guy who wanted to be my bf when I was in my teens. it would be interesting to make up a backstory to it and show just how much of a needy, high-maintenance stalker that girl was, to the point where the boy finally resorted to saying "You're ugly" just to get her off his back. I've been fed up with a clingy guy enough to say something similar and slap him upside the head. Strange how the overly needy, clingy girls in these glurges are supposed to be hugged, kissed, loved up constantly, and if they don't get their way, they crawl off and die, and we're supposed to feel so sorry for them. I think the girl in this glurge was more of a power-tripping brat with serious ego issues than anything else, and the boy knew it. What surprises me is that he didn't tell her he was interested in someone else. And if this girl loved her mom and possibly the rest of her family and friends, if she had any, why kill herself just because some insignificant little twirp called her ugly? Can we say spineless?
