In the musical Feeling Electric, the main character, Diana Brown, tried to commit suicide twice by mixing Pop Rocks and soda:
During the song "Feeling Strongly Fine - Catch Me, I'm Falling" she says "I overdosed on antidepressants fifteen years ago, which in a perfect world would just make someone really happy, but I puked them all up. So I tried Pop Rocks and Coke to see if I could get my head to explode."
Later, when she tries suicide again ("Stomach Pump - ECT"), the contents of her stomach pump are "valium and fizzing candy".
