A family in Chile supposedly found this little guy in some bushes and brought him home, where he clung to life for eight days. Alien? Animal fetus? X-Files prop off E-bay? Here is the whole story.

This reminded me of a mummy story I saw on Discovery. I searched and searched for a link, but it was a while ago, sorry. Mummies like this, but larger, and definately human were found in a mountain cave in the Rockies, USA. So people got all riled up about Aliens and the like. It urns out that they were acutally infants, who had been buried in the closed off, dry, cool caves and probably died due to complications caused by anencephali. This desease effects babies and can make them all small and have flat heads. I belive it means they are born without a brain.

The best know of these is known as the Pedro Mountain Mummy and was found in the Pedro Mountains of Wyoming. This article has a picture of the mummy as well as little history. It has been featured on a segment of Unsolved Mysteries in 1994 as well as a special on the Discovery Channel from 2001. Dr. George Gill, mentioned in the above article was interviewed for both programs.
(Usless knowledge warning. If anyone has every seen the Unsolved Mysteries that featured the story on this mummy, the scenes where the mummy is being taken to be tested at the American Museum of Natural History are filmed on the top floor of the University of Wyoming Anthropology Building.)

He is kind of cute, in his own morbid little way. Sort of like Michael Jackson.

Thanks To Noemi is to duck me!
You're quite welcome. I actully just took a wild guess, since that was the only one I could think of that had been on a show on Discovery. If I remember right from the classes I took from Dr. Gill there have been acouple of other similar mummies that have been found here. They just aren't as well known as the Pedro Mountain one.
