Comment: I heard that the roof at Miller stadium in Milwaukee, WI is
permanently closed now due to some shift in the infrastructure after the
last time that it was closed. Is that true?

Hmm, this site seems to indicate that the rrof is staill active (its advertising it). Even if their was a shift, couldnt it be corrected?

This site confirst the OP and blames the problem on bad pivots, water contamination, rusting, roof panels,

No mention of a shift, but it does talk about lawsuits over the bad construction.

The roof was open last week when I went by. There was legal settlements about 2 months ago. Lots of money going 3 ways, but the problems with pivots, leaks, and such were settled.

Money was given to the families of those killed in the construction.

Other new issues are still open for whatever means of settlement the Stadium Board and the Contractor deem necessary.

Maybe they're confusing it with Olympic Stadium in Montreal, which was supposed to have a retractable roof, but never got one that worked.

Ditto what Biker said. We did some training there in October and the contractors were on site examining the joint. I only drive past periodically, but it's been open each time I've seen it for at least several weeks. Work has been ongoing.
