First of all, nitpicky corrections to snopes' piece: the round before the Super Bowl is called the Conference Championships, not Conference Finals. And the time between the two rounds is not always two weeks, although it was in 1987 and is this year.
But what I really find unforgivable is that snopes truncated the funniest part of the Bowyer quote -- the followup question. Asked why he would be a cheese tree, Bowyer responded, "Because I like cheese."
