The following "quote" has been attributed to David Rockefeller, the chairman of Chase Manhattan Bank. Allegedly it is from 1991, but has been given a byline of a Bilderberg meeting in Baden Baden, Germany; a Trilateral Commission meeting; as well as a couple others...
Any idea if there is any proof that he actually SAID it, or if anything else is legit? The only linkies I can find are from conspiracy theory websites that are MUCH less than verifiable.
quote:We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. He went on to explain: It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.

Well, I checked for some german sources about this Bilderberg-Konferenz in Baden Baden, but all that came up on google were conspiracy sites and uhm... let us call them "alternative politic" sites (meaning some kind of nutter parties ) No reliable source though, like some german press. But that probably is because the Bilderberg Group has the media in their pocket?
Strange though that after some pages of valid links suddenly a lot of links towards medical sites appeared (cosmetic surgery, gynaecology, oral surgery etc... example how they show on google: psychotherapie-führer.de/index.php/Bilderberg) and they start with an xn--
I didn't dare to click one of those to see what happens, I have never seen this kind of link before. Probably a part of the world wide conspiracy! Where is my tinfoil hat?
Actually I do not think there is much to this quote.
