Gentlemen and ladies,

as many of you know, the quote "Let me say this about that" is attributed to Richard Nixon. Try though I might, I can't find the speech, press conference (and no, I didn't stop searching after his 'last' one [Big Grin] ) or event where he made that quote.

I DO know that in the 'Checkers' speech, he used "let me say this" several times, and it isn't too much of a stretch for people put the rest of the words in his mouth.

Anyone know the truth?
