Is this quote real?

It goes some thing like this

A woman says to churchill

"If I were your wife I'd poision your tea"

And he responds with

"Madam if you were my wife I'd gladly drink it"

I have also heard he said

"why stand when you can sit?"

I have heard that one also attributed to Churchill. It definately appeared in a WC Fields movie.
