Really stupid and probably easily answerable question alert-

Is there any way of changing my avatar to a pic stored on my pc? Cheers.

ET fix awkward syntax.

Quick answer is no, you can't. I do the same as Lil' Molly and use Photobucket, but I've seen other free sites mentioned before, also.

Use the one in the box marked Url:

 -

If the picture you're using isn't square it will look distorted once it is re-sized to fit the avatar space, so you're better off cropping your picture before you start.

Go to your Photobucket album or sub album where the picture is, right click and copy the link in the "Url" field for your desired picture.

  • Click on the link titled "my profile" at the top of the page.
  • Click the link titled "Edit Profile".
  • Scroll down to the area with your avatar.
  • Click on the link titled "Select a different avatar image".
  • Go the field titled "Use Custom URL:", and paste your link into the field.
  • Click on the "Set URL" button.
  • Click on the "Select this avatar" button.
  • Click on the "Update profile" button.

There.
