Email in-boxes are under attack from some unlikely menaces: J.R.R. Tolkien, Daniel Defoe, Alexandre Dumas and other authors whose classic works are surfacing in a newly popular spam scam.

Whenever I have this problem, I put some appropriate keywords in a news search engine. In this case, "empty spam" returns the article. (Sometimes linking from the search egine gives allows you to see the article without registering.)
