Recently, NBC did a special with the best of NBC's programs of all time. They showed montages, and clips of "Hill Street Blues," and "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. Of course, Ed "hey-o!" McMahon was Johnny's late night lounge lizard buddy, and they showed him - he was in the audience watching the special. He didn't look like he was doing well, health-wise. The people I was watching it with agreed. So is Ed doing OK, does anyone know? [Confused]

He was on "Last Call with Carson Daley" (the show that comes on after Conan O'Brien) a few weeks ago. He seemed up-beat and healthy from what I remember. Maybe he just had the flu or something that night?

I'm sorry, I meant he didn't look well. Besides being careworn (which is a necessity of old age), he was a bit disconnected-looking, didn't seem to have the sparkle in the eye, the appeal he commanded on "Star Search." He looked very old.

Yeah it has been really messing with his health. He can only get out "Hey" on his own power he needs oxygen to give the "HOOOO".
