Yeah it's a bit of a scandal around here. He didn't pose for the picture and did everything he could to get it taken down as soon as he discovered it. Jamie was fired for the indiscretion of someone else, and despite his history with drug use that just doesn't seem fair to me.

Someone *else* posted it and he got fired? That seems ridiculous. And he actually had to *try* to remove it? I thought MySpace immediately removed pornographic material whenever they found it. If it was a nude photo shouldn't it have been removed as soon as it was reported?

He notified MySpace and the picture disappeared within an hour.

Ah, the "did everything he could to get it taken down" led me to believe that it was somehow a problem to get it taken down. So, a nude photo that appeared on the internet for an hour without his permission lost him his job. Completely stupid. Another example of workplaces trying to control what their employees do on their own time, IMO. I don't see how it's legal, honestly.
ETA - Forgive my momentary lapse in sanity. I'm sure the picture was up for longer than the hour after he discovered it. I still think it's ridiculous, no matter how long it was up, though.

This whole thing is stupid but then again IT IS VIRGINIA !!! Some in the commonweatlth just can't handle the sight of a nude man. Plus Roanoke where this took place is right in the backyard of Jerry Falwell.
Come to think of it this is the second time within a year a broadcaster in Virginia found themselves into trouble over nude pics. In Winchester ( Northwestern part of VA ) nude pics of a local radio dj appeared in "American Grizzly" a gay porn magazine.
Unlike the situation in Roanoke, in Winchester the guy didn't lose his job but some of the other radio stations there I heard did try to ban that magazine from being available there.
