Someone emailed this link to me. Now I realize that the purpose of porn is to create an illusion, but some of the audience members look visibly shocked.
So is this true? Is there a talkshow in Japan where random women have sex/give blowjobs on stage?

How do you know it's just a porn movie? That seems like a lot of pornstars to have in one room. And if you look at their faces, they DO look surprised at what is going on.

So you're saying that isn't at all what it portrays itself as... Don't you think the "extras" look a bit surprised at what they're seeing?
I suppose the point is whether or not the women actually having sex are porn stars or not.

I don't understand your definition of "porn star". Do you mean whether they got paid or not? Of course, I have no way of knowing that.
I guess it's a little shocking that people would do something like that for little or no money. Many of them are probably genuinely shocked. Maybe it's their first time seeing something like that. (Mine too.) Even if its not, maybe they were expecting something different. (Maybe they didn't read the piece of paper they signed very carefully.) I don't know. But it's a porn film (or video or whatever medium it was made for).

The "SOD" logo that appears at the beginning is for "Soft On Demand". It is a porn company infamous for adding "twists" to the whole porn angle.
If I remember right, this precise show has a hired audience (mainly amateurs, AFAIK, with maybe a few pros) that got in with the understanding that there would be sex acts and that they might be taking part in (though they would not *have* to).

I saw the clip and read about this being just a porn film a while ago. Could have sworn it was here, but I guess not. Now I'm confused.

AFA Amateurs, there are PLENTY of people who would participate in one way or another. The only example I have readily at hand (Uh OH, unintentional double-entendre alert ) is the video Houston 500. Porn star Houston takes on a line of regular guys (and a few gals) to break a gang-bang record.
Anyway, again, there are plenty of people willing to participate in something like this.
BTW, wasn't this video discussed a while back? I couldn't find it in a search, maybe I'm miss-remembering.

Of course it's porn. Do people honestly think we have "game shows" like this on TV? Honestly, I can't even understand what the "controversy" is.
The mosaic, by the way, is in the original so in some ways Japanese porn is not as hardcore as what you can get in other countries.
