I didn't find this story anywhere else, but chow me if you will.
I wondered what people's reactions would be to a book like this.
The whole story isn't available of course, they'd obviously like people to buy the book. But how would you all feel about teaching your kids about marijuana this way? (I would not propose the idea that this would be part of a school curriculum.)

I've read the whole thing; I paged through a copy in an Urban Outfitters store once. I'm not a parent, of course, but I didn't see anything objectionable about the content. It struck me as sort of a Where Do Babies Come From? for pot-smoking hippie parents.

LOL! I love Mom's Sergeant Pepper costume. And Farmer Bob's totally stoned grin (apparently a contact high since he claims not to use pot himself). Dr. Eden's office--decorated by Peter Maxx.
It's a little wacky but I still might have to pick up a copy just for fun. And to see how it ends!
Honestly, I think my parents--who for a time grew quite the impressive crop in our backyard--would have found this over the top. No matter how much you enjoy using pot, or feel strongly about legalizing it, it wouldn't be fair or responsible to give that much info about it to a small child.
Sometimes, perhaps it is better to tell a little white lie when a six year old asks if that's a cigarette you're smoking.
Edited to fix a format problem.

I read a copy of it last year. It wasn't too objectionable. I think I'd probably use it when talking to my kids about it. (Hypothetical kids, that is.) I too loved the costumes that the kids wore. Very cute overall.
