Has anyone ever heard of such a case? A man sued after being in an accident that left him with priapism (permanent erection).

It's finals time at UB and I'm doing some legal research for a friend. Sigh. As far as what she wants this for, your guess is as good as mine.

But apparently someone's Torts final depends on this information [Smile]

Here is a case of a man who sued Albertson's in a slip-and-fall, claiming priapism and hernia as a result: http://www.kscourts.org/ca10/cases/2004/10/02-4186.htm

While you're on the line, so to speak, Amigone, is your name Buffalo-funeral-home related?

Thanks very much Chloe [Smile]

Amigone is the name of a B-side Goo Goo Dolls song, which has rather grown on me since I purchased their Dizzy Up the Girl album.

I assumed that only a fairly hardcore Dolls fan would pick up on it, as so far, only one person has noticed. I can't remember who, where, or when, but it's been quite a while since it happened.

New York Route 201 is the road that goes from Binghamton University up north, past the mall. I used to work at a Pizza Hut across the street from the mall when I was a senior at Binghamton. So 201 led from my school to my job.

Upon arriving here in Buffalo, I discovered, much to my surprise, that Amigone was the name of a funeral home. Since the Goo Goo Dolls are from Buffalo, there is no doubt some relation. But since I haven't yet succeeded in my goal of becoming friends with the band, I haven't been able to ask why they chose that name for the song.

Now the question is, how would you ever know that Amigone was a funeral home in Buffalo? [Smile]

I know all... Actually, I lived in Rochester for several years, and drove past the funeral home on many occasions. The sign always tickled me. There's also a rather salacious (and not very good) novel set in Buffalo that features a funeral director called "Amilate." Subtle stuff!

(Did I ever mention that Johnny Goo once hit on me? I must have; I bore everyone with that tidbit. [Big Grin] )

Well, that was it, really. He was mingling with the crowd after their set (not a very good set, actually). I was with someone, so it didn't go anywhere. Damn, I should just have left it as a mysterious hint..
