I hope this is posted in the right place.

I got an ad on the main forum that asked if I wanted to install an application called "drive cleaner" - not a popup, but a real Windows question box with a Yes/No button - yes, a real one, not a pop up imitating one. I clicked on "No" and it brought up the application's website anyway, and the question box persisted until I denied about three times.

Hope you guys can remove this ad from the board - it was horrible!

Watch your mouse pointer. On such ads, the cursor will turn from an arrow into a pointing finger if it's anywhere over the open window -- includng the "No" button or no button at all. Never click on a button -- click only on the X. (The entire ad is a single button which takes you to the site.)

I agree, only use the X, or even better, just kill the process.

I got that one a couple of times too. Luckily, it seems to have stopped.
