Found a reference!
From an article about the Museum of Death:
quote:
The museum ended with a bang and, happily, it wasn't a shotgun blast to my head. A series of pictures illustrated a unique tale: Several years ago, a woman enlisted her boyfriend to murder her husband. Afterwards, the killers thought it would be fun to "get naked" and photograph themselves while dismembering the body. One picture showed the woman (wearing only feathered hair parted in the middle) smiling at the camera gaily while sawing off her husband's head. In another photo, the boyfriend was sitting next to the dismembered body. I couldn't understand why the man was grinning like an idiot, because he'd just committed a deadly sin and had a minuscule penis.

According to this one, the woman is 21-year-old Jeannine Lynn Clark and her accomplice is James Edward Glover. Glover is said to have killed Clark's boyfriend, IDed only as "Bobby" on July 14, 1982, in Detroit, MI.

Woohoo! I have verification!

According to the Detroit Free Press archives, James Glover shot Robert Beckowitz and then had three days of bizarre... umm... fun... with the body, and Jeannine Clark. She claimed she was forced to participate, the jury didn't buy it.

Go to www.freep.com and search on "glover clark murder" to read the article segments for yourselves.

There's nothing I can really add to this discussion; all the salient points have already been covered (oh, the irony). I'm left to comment on the veracity of the pictures, given the evidence. Yes, they do appear to be of a real murder case, but I'm not too pleased to have seen them. Gruesome, indeed.
Either case, I welcome XCOP to the forum, and wish a healthy stay. [Smile] As for Alka Swift, you've been warned. You're being rather rude to other members.

well I took alka's sarcasim kinda funny. The points made about guys parts being more gruesome then the murder..(hillarious)...(poor guys).. I heard before that when women are naked it's sexy but when a man is naked it's funny?!? It was off of "Punk'd" on MTV.
But I started thinking about something after I read it yesterday...The guy took it to a store that his friend worked at for the pictures to be developed..and his friend didn't stay by them the whole time? I was thinking he had to have told him what the pictures were about. It said someone else packaged them. Now when I go to the 1 hour photo, there's usually only one person there. I would think if I was going to give "my friend" a roll that had something bad on it, I would tell him not to leave it lieing around. Did anyone else think about that or were you to busy trying to poke out your minds eye, like I was last night before going to bed?...lol [Eek!] all night I thought about that head! Next time I think that when I see "gruesome pictures" I might just live through everyone else's experiences of seeing it. lol
oh and the nudity was barely noticeable, compared to the head with the toe stuck in the nose...

Well. I certainly didn't need to see that on a day when I'm already feeling morose.

Curiosity killed the jarbaby, and stuff like that sticks in my head for a LOOOONG time.

I remember when I was little I heard about a woman in my city being murdered by her husband with a hatchet. He left for work and their toddler woke up, and lay in bed with her dead mom until the father came home.

I still can't shake the grossness.

Gee, I wonder why. Could it possibly have been the fifth photo down, where she is smiling so cutely she may as well have been posing for a graduation portrait?

Graphic,mSick,Depraved picture, don't click if you are highly offended by such things unless you are prepared to buy me a bag of cookies.
What is in this picture?

May just be me but the TV looks wierd and somehow adds to the disgusting scene we have upon us here.

This seems on topic too. If you are fooling around with your girlfriend and take intimate photos of yourselves then go and get them processed at a 1hour photo place, could you get pulled up for it? What exactly is the legal situation there?

This was in Detroit? For some reason I thought it happened in texas, the woman being exicuted a few year's ago?
I do remember seeing these photos though, at the Museum of Death. I believe I saw the case on one of those Forensic Files or something.

As to Alka swift, my god if I'd had the internet when I was 15 the first thing I would have done was to look up crime photos.
When we did get it I looked up sex sites too, just for fun.
When my dad was at work.
The way I see it, you're mature enough to look at corpses, you're old enough to look at sex.

Hence the warnings about it being greusome. Like we've already covered, while it might have been better in NFBSK of Horrors, it's not like people weren't warned.

Go to the Michigan Free Press website, www.freep.com, go to the search page, enter one of their names and look during the 1982-1983 time period. That should give you plenty of info.

Astra, it's the Detroit Free Press (that paper doesn't speak for all of us) and your link has extra punctuation. This'll work though Detroit Free Press [Wink]

Grr, this is not my night with links. Sorry for the confusion, everyone. Just use the archives link in my last post, that should clear everything up. Just make sure you narrow the search to 1982-82 or else the engine sometimes hangs.

Lucky me, my first post bumps such a lovely subject...

Anyhow, how fitting that this love story has such a odd ending: Miss Clark was indeed paroled almost 15 years ago after serving the light end of her sentence while Glover died in prison in '86 serving just a few years of that sentence. Both had been incarcerated before on various weapons charges.

Funny thing is that if she is still around she's probably far from Detroit having restarted her life and has no clue that people are discussing her on message boards such as this.

Not so funny thing is that she could be your neighbor...or you girlfriend.

Good day!
