Comment: I have used your search engine and cannot find this particular photo: a
few months back, I saw a most disturbing photo of a very young Ethiopian
(?) child starving to death. Near the child was a vulture, apparently
waiting (according to the pic) for the child to die. This picture
apparently won the "something of the year" award. Do you know the pic, and
if so, what is it's validity?

Taken by Kevin Carter in 1993.
I think he won a Pulizter in Photojournalism.

The photo was taken in Sudan by Kevin Carter for LIFE magazine in 1993.

It won the Pulitzer Prize for photography.

You might want to re-consider posting that picture on the board, and posting a link to it instead.

For some reason I'd always hoped someone would have hacked savekaryn.com a few months ago and replaced the site with that picture.

No problem Koolaid we all double post sometimes. Actually, instead of trying to post again to say you were sorry you do have the ability to Edit your own posts. I use that feature alot! Sometimes people Edit one of their double posts and say Waffles or insert a picture. Sorry, if you already know that.

Callie.

savekaryn is the site that asks you to donate your spare cash to get a yuppie chicklet out from under her load of debt, based on her promise she'll never overspend again.

As opposed to donating to help feed this child, and others in the same position.

Actually, Karyn's already been saved and is now supporting some other poor sap's effort to get donations for debt relief over the internet.

For those of you who care,

will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about it.
