Actual horoscope from the Los Angeles Herald-Express of Saturday, 6 December 1941:

quote:

"Sunday's horoscope is noteworthy because of its strange, sudden and wholly inexplicable occurences, affecting all phases of life."

(Of course, we all know what happened the next day....)

Well, it's hardly surprising, really:  make a large enough number of "predictions", and some of them are bound to "come true", by the sheer blind workings of chance...

Also, this one has the typical vagueness of most "predictions", so it can't really be said to have "foretold" what happened the next day...

Even if this horoscope was really published on the alleged date, it is, as already noted, vague enough to apply to any number of things. As a "prophecy" of Pearl Harbor, I don't think it's even that succesful in its vagueness:
quote:
wholly inexplicable occurences

I don't see how that applies at all--the attack on Pearl Harbor was many things, but inexplicable? The motives for the attack are pretty well documented, and hardly fall into the realm of things that defy explanation--they were, in their way, quite rational.
