I wasn't sure what a REAT FRIEND is, so I googled it. Apparently if you have 8 - 10 friends one of them will be a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist. Cool. I'll have to ask around and find out which of my friends does that in secret.

Assessment: badly spelled, atrocious grammar, lacking in any cogent, coherent or consistent argument and ending with a poorly thought out epigram of highly dubious reasoning.
Score 0/10 - Nothing to recommend it.

Except for that part where your parents try so hard to get you to improve your education, perhaps even ponying up for private school or tutors, and you still write like this.

God, what is up with teens these days! I guess I didn't realize that I thought that most of them were hooligans just looking for trouble. I guess I need to conform to what they think I think.
It was much easier back in my day when "parent's just don't understand". I know, dating myself there.

I was a (reasonably) well-behaved teen. And I never had people looking at me like I was the harbinger of evil. Who knew? Maybe I was just a freak variant.
I noticed this one has the quantity of friends = quality of your friendship bit at the end too.
By the way, does anyone know what a dont is?

If this is a representation of teens in general than I am glad I am no longer a teen because frankly I think that this is a sure sign that the problem will take care of itself. The Darwin Awards will also get hundreds of new posts.

Some of us notice. And it makes us get annoyed both at the older people ignoring us because of our age and the idiot teens who put them off in the first place. I get to stop being a teen pretty soon, but I sure hope I don't spontaneously forget what it's like, which is the only explanation I can come up with for the behaviour of certain older people towards teens.

Seriously, what's up with this thread? When there's a piece of crappy Christian pseudo-glurge, nobody thinks that's a representation of Christians in general, because it's not. Neither is this a representation of teens.
The OP is moronic, nobody's denying that, but the guy/girl has a point in some respects... the sterotype of a teenager is of a shoplifting, vandal nuisance, and it's not an accurate representation of teenagers at large. Unfortunately the OP doesn't go very far in dispelling this stereotype.

Sorry lad, but you don't get it. It's as Ariadne put it. We don't ignore you. We just don't notice you (unless, of course, you get in our way) in the same way as we don't particularly notice any other age group.

I did think she meant ignore, in a not-worth-my-time sort of way. If this was what you meant, then I apologise. I live in Britain; all we ever seem to get on the news over here is more on how horrible young people are. With that and the mosquito box debate, it's no wonder it gets to the point when you default to taking things that way.
It's lass, btw.

In other news, apparently if you have at least 5 friends, you learn how to spell "friend." Sadly, you will never learn to spell "you're."
Actually, better make that 6 or more friends. I'm not sure which category 5 friends puts you in.

I meant ignore in the "don't pay more attention to than anyone else" sense, as Floater said. When I was a teenager, I assumed everyone was either amused or annoyed by my antics and those of my friends. Now that I am no longer a teenager, the antics of those who are tend to escape my notice. I certainly don't get the feeling that any teen will knife me!
Sorry for the confusion, Spooky Cactus, and sorry that there seems to be a negative view of teens in Britain. As someone who has worked with plenty of teens (I have taught high school and now teach at a community college) I find that age group no more or less objectionable than any other.
