quote: KOLKATA, India, Aug 17 (Reuters) - A group of Indian television journalists gave a man matches and diesel to help him commit suicide in order to get dramatic footage which was later broadcast on the news, police said on Thursday.
The man died from severe burns to his body in hospital in Gaya town in the eastern state of Bihar on August 15, India's Independence Day.
Footage of the man, screaming and writhing in pain as he ran with his back on fire, was aired on several television channels. Police identified the man as Manoj Mishra.

I thought you couldn't light diesel with a match unless it's been heated to a flashpoint of something like 60C first?

Presumably he poured the diesel onto his clothing so that it would be much more flammable.

That is the last time I use Dictionary.com. For the transitive they gave for "wick" is "wicked". Other sites use "wick" for the transitive.
I guess you can dip the witch in paraffin and light the pointie hat. Then she will be a wick.

Does this count as a "real" snuff film?
IMO no because 1) it was a suicide not a murder and 2) the killing wasn't commited by those who filmed it for entertainment purposes.
