Woman Suffocates Under Piles Of Clutter In Home

quote:
A woman in Shelton, Wash., who was reported missing by her husband, was found dead under piles of clutter in their home, where she suffocated to death, according to police.

Authorities found the body of 62-year-old Marie Rose buried under clothes after 10 hours of searching. She reportedly suffered from a condition known as hoarding.

10 hours of searching. holy moly.

quote:
Shelton Police Chief Terry Davenport said the home was so cluttered that police officers' heads touched the ceiling as they climbed over the clutter.

Her husband reported her missing.

Was he living in the same house?

That is sad really. This is actually one of the reasons why my ex-wife and I broke up. She simply refused to throw away things that were usless junk.

I know it makes me evil but I cannot help but think of that one simpsons episode where Skinner is trapped under all the paper in his garage..

And I thought my wife was a pack rat. The policemans heads were actually touching the celing? Not to sound mean but why did he not pick anything up and thow it away before it got to that point assumeing he was liveing there. My wife has a similar problem about not being able to throw things away. I am the main cleaner at our house. If I were to keel over today I gaurentee our house would be a mess within two weeks.

This is one reason I broke up with my ex. I should have just taken out a sizeable life insurance policy on him. [fish]
