i plan to write a script based on the halloween massacre urban legend, incorporating other scary legends into it. but this will be based on the halloween massacre legend on campus in which the serial killer dresses as little bo peep or something like that. if anyone's interested in helping me, let me know. i was watching urban legend 1 and 2 the last 2 nights and have for the last few months really been thinking of my own, even more frightening.

ruff, they just showed one of the "Mostly True: Urban Legends" show a few days ago with this one in it. I think you should incorporate the "people can lick too" legend into it where the killer is under the bed and she thinks it's the dog. It's one of those images you can't get out of your mind.

the "humans can lick too" scared the crap out of me when I was a kid, too (and I never scared easily).

I also tend to jump during scary movies when an authority/safe figure turns out to be the killer--like a cop or rescuer. maybe little bo peep should be working campus security (though I vaguely recall there being something about campus security in urban legend 2).

derailing a bit...it might be tasteless, but I always thought the scariest setting for a horror film would be a hospital..i've never seen one, but i'm sure there are some bad ones out there already. or maybe a prison...after all, it's the place most likely to be full of killers. Maybe a guard gone awry...the protagonist could be wrongly convicted, or guilty of a sympathetic crime like stealing to pay for his sick kid's operation (so the audience relates). hmm...

it's funny you should mention the humans can lick too, because i plan on using that one. the dormitory will be an all girl dormitory. i really liked urban legend: final cut, but they really didn't go into humans can lick. and in the first one, the aren't you glad you didn't turn out the lights one had a bit of comic edge to it. in mine, the roommate plans to die alone, not with someone in the other bed.
i also plan to do a babysitter one. in halloween, laurie was in high school, but a college girl can take a babysitting job for extra money. and i plan to use the guy in the backseat and at the mall.
i was thinking of one of the girls' aunt is a policewoman. she and her partner are top detectives, and there's a jealous dude who never gets any recognition. or maybe i'll have like in urban legend, like rebecca gayheart, where a college girl does the killings. or her twin brother or sister. something like that. i need the murdered to be close to the girls. think of it like this-the girls one night talk about all their fears and then they all come true. that's why i want the killer to be close to the girls. can you imagine telling someone what you're afraid of and all of a sudden, it happens?

re: aren't you glad, i realized the roommate will have to get a sweater or book or something. and in final cut, the movie was based on filming scenes, so that's why they never went into humans can lick. mine plan to be freaky all the way.

Probably the most famous horror set in a hospital is Halloween 2. It's alright, if a little dull at times.

i have to admit found myself kind of zoning out during halloween 2. the scariest for me would be at the dorms. a college student would be terrified. a good example of real life was the gainseville ripper at florida state in 1990. danny rolling. the students were terrified. can you imagine being terrified knowing someone is out there and then becoming his victim. i read accounts on one of his victims. she was home alone, waiting for her male roommate. she was on the phone, and had to tell her friend to stop talking about the murders. the roommate came home, and about an hour later, they were murdered.

That would be UF not Florida State (FSU) I was there, then. It was actually pretty scary. Bad enough that some of my computer geek friends were part of a local witchcraft coven... [Eek!]

sorry. [Smile] was typing really fast. [Smile] i am reading the book about what happened in gainesville. i can only read it during the day. [Smile] but the poor victims, and being frightened, not realizing they would be next. what was it like for you? did you live alone? or did you have someone come stay with you or did you bunk with a group of people?

my new title will be THE COLLEGE MASSACRES: THE TRUE STORY NO ONE WILL DARE TO BELIEVE

i thought the halloween massacre would focus too much on the one ul. the new title will focus on halloween but allow other uls to be used. and it will be told in a way that makes the story written by the killer him or herself. [Smile]

*Highjack- Sorry*

Just a side note on the "humans can lick too," I have been licked buy both humans and dogs. The tongues feel totally different. Dog tongues are longer and thin while humans are short and very thick. How would someone get those two confused, especially if it were her dog and probally licked her all the time? That always bugged me.

*End Highjack*

In the version we told each other, it was a "zombie" that did the licking, normally after nailing the dog to the wall of the bathroom.

but when you're sound asleep, or half asleep, i doubt anyone's thinking oh, that's the lick of a human, not a dog.

FYI, the "People Can Lick, Too" legend actually has been made into a segment of the movie "Campfire Tales"

God...it's going to be hard for me to sleep tonight now, lol. That "people can lick too" UL bothered me so much as a child that I didn't sleep straight (as in, feet near the end of the bed) until I was like 16. I always scrunched up and held my feet. And I don't get scared easily. That was the only story that really scared me, especially since the first time it was told to me was at night at summer camp.
