fuel to what jet powered car theory? Jet powered cars are fairly commonplace in exhibition drag racing. Since most states would consider that vehicle illegal for the street it is definalty not a street car while the engines are off. Depending on how the fuels system is setup the car may even violate hazmat transporation laws.
Chrysler in the 60's built a turbine powered car and distributed about 100 for testing. Rumors ran rampant about these cars being able to run off everythig from kerosene to peanut oil. They were most decidely street legal despite haveing exhaust tempratures in the 300-500 range. Chrysler crushed all buta few of these cars and one is in their museum. YOu can see one in action on the road in the 60's movie "The Lively Set".

Chrysler filmed driving the car on a bottle of scotch.

That looks a little illegal, or maybe it's just me. It also looks a bit scary. I wouldn't drive it, that's for sure.
Is the engine on the car pictured in the front or the back? I can't really tell from the pictures shown, probably because with all the jet stuff, I can't tell what half of anything is. I used to have an MR2, but it was older than that one, with the small, boxy design, and used to be able to confuse the hell out of people when I showed them my engine was in the back. LOL.

Must have been a pretty bad film if he was driving drunk.
Seriously, there is no way in hell that car could be driven on the street on a day to day basis. Wouldn't the jet engines produce too much heat behind it when driving in traffic? Plus, it's not lke you can just stop at the gas station and fill'er up with jet fuel.

He mentions that it burns Jet A, which is available at most airports that service private aircraft with turbine engines. How he gets the fuel from the airport to the car is a different story. If he is able to drive onto the tarmac and fill it up, that's fine, but there is the question of whether or not it is street legal. The other option is to transport the fuel in some kind of container and then fill the car up, but then you have all kinds of hazmat requirements.
All in all, I'd rather just have an airplane.

Can you imagine what it's gotta be like at the gas pump with a car like that! It's bad enough that I have to drop over $40 to fill a 12 gal tank! That would have to be $100-$150 easy and most likely every day!

Jet A isn't that different from kerosene or diesel. It is no more dangerous or volatile. Of course it's not street legal (who said it was?).
It looks well put together. My only question is where are the air intakes. I would guess under the car, but O can't tell.

The guy selling the car said that it was street legal in his description. Adding credence to his claim is the fact that the car does have plates, as can be seen in several photos on the sales site. As for the intakes, he says they are on top of the car, to limit dust intake and FOD. I can't identify them from the photos however.

With all respect to him...I believe he thinks wrong.
Also, I don't see a rear plate, as if it would matter if that was in front of you.
