In '01 I was on a military training course with the British Army, and the Master Gunner was a guy named Bart Simpson. He was a massive bulk of a man that you would never sat "Don't have a cow, man!" to. He would have pounded you into the cement right there.

The official name of snopes.com, IIRC, was the San Fernando Valley Folklore Society's Urban Legends Reference Pages. the phrase on google returns tons of hits.

We've stopped using the "San Fernando Valley Folklore Society" tag, but Steve Harvey continues to cite it because his column is entitled Only in L.A., and it provides a tangible connection between our site and Los Angeles.
