Sounds like billboards for the Omen remake that's opening on 06/06/06.

eta: The Omen I can't view the website from work because I'm stuck with an antiquated browser, but you can take a look and see if it looks like the billboards or not. Heed the Omen is another. That one changed from the first time I looked at it to this one. Weird.

I wouldn't be surprized if it had to do with the release of the remake of " The Omen "

I believe it's promotion for an upcoming movie. A remake of "The Omen" is scheduled for release on June 6th, playing off of the '666'/number of the beast myth. It was also being referred to, during production, as "The Omen 666".
Another movie called "The Beast" is also slated for release on 6/6/06, but it seems to be a non-major studio release, and probably not the subject of the billboard campaign.

I've seen them, too. I'm guessing some new film or TV series, probably built along a Revelation/Apocalyptic theme like LaHaye's "Left Behind" novels. PCm nonsense, IMHO.
