The world's formerly oldest person, cuz, you know, someone else is now the oldest person.

Are you saying she wasn't the oldest when she died?* (As it says in the thread title.) Or do you mean that she was no longer recognized as the world's oldest person when the home's administrator announced her death to the world? (As it says in the OP.)
*Which reminds me of that old Woody Allen line: "It's not that I'm afraid to die; I just don't want to be there when it happens."

Oh, she was the oldest person when she died, but since she died, someone else is now the oldest person.

On a related theme, the BBC is reporting that the last British person to serve in both World Wars has died aged 106. There are now only four British veterans of the First World War alive.
