Comment: I'm vehemently trying to find the truth behind a rumor of the newly outrageously popular comedian Carlos Mencia (CarlosMencia.com). As well as his scandalous stand-up comedy, Mencia is best known for his show on Comedy Central: Mind of Mencia.
Mencia is a claimed Mexican-Honduran who's parents arrived in America through illegal immigration. He tells many jokes about serious topics and his claim to fame is making people laugh about things they typically would be too ashamed or politically correct to laugh about.
The rumor circulating about Mencia is that he is not in fact Mexican, but in reality half German and half Honduran. Many claim Carlos Mencia is not even his real name, and that his real name is Ned Holness.
Some suggest he made the claim to be Mexican in order to identify with the local Mexican crowd in his hometown in LA.
He is also credited with stealing other comedian's material, most notably famous Mexican comedian George Lopez's.
The rumor appears on comedian and host of the shows "Fear Factor" and SpikeTv's "Ultimate Fighter's Championship" Joe Rogan's Website here:
It can also be found on countless chat forums across the net.
I would really like to know the truth to this rumor. Is Mencia truly a Mexican? Is Mencia even his real name? Does Mencia steal much of his act, specifically from George Lopez?

Nah, don't feel bad... Larry The Cable Guy gets death threats because people actually think he's a redneck comedian who doesn't like midgets, retards, etc... I feel bad for him, actually.
