I thought this might be an appropriate place to bring this to light? If not, I apologize.

But, I was reviewing the board rules, and I noticed something regarding "buddy list" section of the FAQ....

What is a 'buddy list'?

Buddy lists apply to private messages only. Anyone you add to your buddy list will be stored in a handy location to make sending private messages to that person easier. You can put someone on your buddy list by viewing the member's profile and clicking on the "add to biddy list" link.

I'm not sure if this was deliberate, but it sure is funny.

It's a typo in the software. I periodically correct it, then the correction gets wiped out by the next upgrade.

OK, I know there's something humorous in the word "biddy", but I can't seem to put my finger on it. Anyone want to clue me in?

A lot of people refer to an annoying old woman as an "old biddy," as in "hen."

I've never heard that one. Is it a regional thing?

Not particularly. I've heard it used by Canadians, Americans, and Brits.

I'm not sure if this was deliberate, but it sure is funny.

Just a suggestion, but is it necessary to actually store that person in a handy location? Perhaps it would be easier (and much less traumatic) to just store their name. [lol]

I can think of a few single, male posters around here I wouldn't mind storing in a handy location.
