Just so you all know, I am..or was Sweet Home California. I have a problem that started a few weeks ago.
I logged on to snopes, and noticed that the sites layout had changed. So, of course, my member status had changed too. I meant to type "Cereal Killer" in the member status box, but I typed it in my display name box instead.

Well, I figured it was no big deal, I could just change it back. But when I typed Sweet Home California in the box and clicked save, a message popped up saying that that name "has been reserved for another member" (me, of course.

I have waited almost a month, and it still won't change back. I sent an email to snopes, but I haven't gotten a reply. Can anyone help me out with this?

I'm not sure exactly how long it takes, but when I do theme-based name changes I know I have to wait awhile to go back to just plain old candy from strangers. If you'd really like to go back to being Sweet Home California just differ spacing or add some _ or something and that'll work until enough time has passed. I believe there's something in the FAQ about it, but I'm not 100%
